Clinical Social Worker
Department: Therapeutic Services
Position has overall responsibility and accountability for providing therapy to minors and adults involved in the referral agency’s System of Care and their families within their home or office setting. Clinical Social Worker must provide counseling, clinical intervention during crisis, collaboration with referral agency personnel, treatment planning, advocacy, initial assessments, psycho-social assessments, individual and family psychotherapy, case management, and other responsibilities involved in a timely delivery of sound mental health services to identified clients.
Applicant must have flexible schedule to accommodate off hour work demands and be willing to participate in mandatory supervisory sessions to be determined by Happy Family management staff. Record management is required as a mandatory documentation of services. Applicant may serve as link between client, community mental health agencies, judicial involvement, referral agencies, and other community resources. Additionally, applicant must be able and willing to work in a multi-disciplinary team, which is culturally diverse and operates from a community strength-based model.
- MSW required from an accredited School of Social Work,
- Licensed Professional Counselor,
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist,
- Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor,
- Licensed Psychologist,
- Licensed Board Eligible/Certified Psychiatrist,
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker eligible
The position requires 2 or more years experience in the field of clinical social work or clinical psychology with knowledge of treatment modalities for working with children, adolescents, and their families. Clinical background in crisis intervention, community outreach, child welfare, and mental health treatment is necessary Applicant must possess liability insurance for practice in the State of Connecticut and successfully complete police background check and CPS background check prior to hire date.
CPR/First Aid Certified preferred. Bi-lingual Clinicians are encouraged to apply.
Hours: Applicant must be willing to work a minimum of 6-10 hours per week with availability on weekends as needed.
